    The Wild Ones Salon is a space for intersectional feminist discussions. During this salon, led by Fahmeda Naheed, participants will explore the role of family and community in activism.

    Wild Ones Salon was created in 2021 by Good Day Cork & Think Speak Do Community Engagement based in Cork, Ireland.

    About the walk:

    Commemorate Frederick Douglass's enduring influence and honor the power of visual storytelling by capping off #DouglassWeek by taking inspiring photos during the walk led by local photographer Renee Veniskey. Visual opportunities will include the historic Douglass statue, the Sunken Garden, Warner Castle, the Douglass family gravesite, and nature of the park. Participants are encouraged to post their photos to Instagram using the #DouglassWeek2023 hashtag. Event organizers will choose a favorite image from those tagged.

    By exploring the city's rich history and celebrating the impact of Douglass and other change makers, we aim to ignite creativity, encourage reflection, and foster a deeper understanding of their legacies.
